FAQs for our Trainee program:
How will I get hours? Hours will be obtained in two primary ways: our partnership programs and building up your clientele.
How will I get relational hours? Our partnerships include working with youth and their families, as well as families in general.
What is the schedule? One of our partnerships does require after school hours. However, you get to make your own schedule. One of the goals is to teach about time management and the ins and outs of having your own business, which includes creating a schedule that works best for you.
When is SV? Will there be triadic and group? You will receive weekly triadic supervision and there are two other group options each week. Although subject to change the current SV is Tuesday mornings, Thursday evenings, and then alternating Thursday and Saturday mornings.
Will I get to share raw data? You will share raw data in every supervision.
Will any trainings be offered? Yes. Trainings will be offered for Trauma Informed Care and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Will there be any stipends? We offer one $200 stipend towards an approved training, while you are completing your practic
Caldwell-Clark, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is seeking to fill up to one (1) part-time paid positions for Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapists and/or Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. Weekly group supervision is provided.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum requirements include: (1) Current, active Associate (formerly Intern) MFT or LPCA registration in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (note: those whose applications are pending will not be considered). (2) Strong clinical skill development, including an understanding of systemic treatment approaches and cultural competency. (3) A defined area of clinical preference or specialization, evidenced through advanced training or clinical experience. (4) An understanding of, and fit with, the Caldwell-Clark mission and services.
IDEAL CANDIDATES HAVE SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE in some of these areas:
Experience or desire to work with At-Risk population (youth, teens, and adults)
Young children (2+)
Adolescent and Teens
Couples
Families
Culturally competent
Couples (EFT trained a plus)
Trauma (EMDR trained a plus)

COMPENSATION: Starts at $25/hour and ranges up to $40 for each hour of client contact, adjusted monthly based on number of clients. Minimum wage is paid for Supervision, Client Advocacy, and any Administrative Items. We proudly #PostThePay in support of fair wage and employment practices for counselors and therapists.
